Blake Gouge

Blake W. Gouge, age 75, of Johnson City, passed away, on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at his home. Blake is a native of Erwin and a son of the late Waitsel W. and Bertha (Jones) Gouge. He was a member of Boones Creek Baptist Church and retired from LC King in Bristol, where he was an engineer. Prior to working for LC King, he was the plant manager at Bristol Jeans.Blake was a member of Gideons International and a former member of the Kiwanis Club. He enjoyed farming and loved his sheep and growing vegetables. In addition to his parents, Blake is preceded in death by one brother, Ben Gouge.Blake W. Gouge leaves behind to cherish his memory: Wife: Barbara Gouge, of Johnson City; Daughter: Cheryl Gouge; Sons: Phillip Gouge, Jeff Gouge; Grandchildren: Faith Gouge, Jake Gouge, Aaron Gouge; Sister: Peggy Ingraham; Several nieces and nephews.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Blake W. Gouge in a committal service to be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in Evergreen Cemetery.
