Willard Bradley Ollis

Willard Bradley Ollis, age 72, of the Rock Creek Community of Erwin, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at his home. He was a native of Unicoi County, born on June 9, 1943 in the Hogskin community, in the same house as his mother. Willard was a son of the late Bradley and Mary Mashburn Ollis. He was a lifelong, faithful member of the Erwin Church of God, where he served on the Church and Pastor’s Council and the Board of Trustees. He was also active in the Clinchfield Senior Adult Center where he loved to play pool and cards. He loved to camp with his beloved family at Rock Creek Park. He was a proud veteran of the U. S. Navy having served in Vietnam and Puerto Rico. He retired from Nuclear Fuel Services in 2003 after more than 35 years of service. In addition to his parents, Willard is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Melissa Ollis, an infant sister, Margaret Ann Ollis and an infant brother. Willard Ollis has left behind to cherish his memories; Children: Aaron Ollis and his wife Tammy of Erwin, Faith Fregoso and her husband Lolo, of Unicoi, Paul Ollis and his wife Tammie of Elizabethton, Reverend Hope Fregoso and her husband Benito, of Unicoi, Grandchildren: Josh Ollis and his wife Brooke, Pam Ollis, Daniel Ollis, David Ollis, Crecencio Ortiz, Toby Ortiz, Juan Fregoso, Benito Aaron Fregoso, Mari Fregoso, Josue Fregoso Henry Fregoso and one grandchild Fregoso on the way. Great Grandchildren: Maci Ollis, Emma Ollis and Hayden Fregoso, Sister: Priscilla Harris and her Husband Mike, Brothers: Jerry Ollis and his wife Loraine of Erwin, Gary Ollis and his wife Lucy of Johnson City, Several nieces and nephews, And the mother of his children and his cherished friend Loretta Ollis.A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 5:00PM and continue until service time at Valley Funeral Home on Sunday, June 28, 2015. The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Willard Bradley Ollis in a funeral service to be held at 7:00 PM, Sunday, June 28, 2015, in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home with Bishop John Edwards officiating. Vocal selections will be provided by Loretta Ollis and Sabrina Smith. A military graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 29, 2015 at Evergreen Cemetery. Those who will be attending the graveside service will meet at Valley Funeral Home by 10:30AM Monday to go in procession to the Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Josh Ollis, David Ollis, Daniel Ollis, Benito Fregoso, Lolo Fregoso, Crecencio Ortiz, Toby Ortiz, Henry Fregoso and Teddy Morton.
