Chester W. McKinney

Chester McKinney, age 74, of Erwin, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at The Erwin Healthcare Center. Born on June 15, 1941 in North Carolina, he was a son of the late Wade and Veralee Hughes McKinney. Mr. McKinney served in the U. S. Army for 3 years and the Army Reserve for 15 years. He later worked in security with Murray Guard at Nuclear Fuel Services and Superior Industries. He attended Grace United Methodist Church. Chester McKinney has left behind to cherish his memories; Wife: Phyllis Lyle McKinney Sons: Joey and his wife Samantha McKinney of Johnson City, Jeff McKinney of Johnson City, Daughter: Kelly and her husband George Martin of Peachtree City, GA, Brothers: Jack and his wife Brenda McKinney of Erwin Ronnie McKinney of Erwin, 7 Grandchildren 2 Great GrandchildrenThe family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Chester McKinney in a graveside service with military honors to be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 Mountain Home National Cemetery.
