David Earp

October 11, 1941 - May 27, 2020

David Earp, age 78, of Erwin, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Center on Aging and Health. A native of Dudley, NC, David is a son of the late Richard and Kate (Long) Earp. He was a member of Redeeming Grace Free Will Baptist Church and he loved working puzzle books. In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. David Earp leaves behind to cherish his memory: Daughters: Tina Rice, Laurie Earp; Grandchildren: Mandie Rice, Derrick Townsend; Great-grandchildren: Ulysses Townsend, Damien Townsend; Sister: Barbara Crump. The family respectfully requests your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of David Earp in a Memorial Service to be held on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Rev. Willie Morrow will officiate and Mandie Rice will provide a eulogy. A visitation period will be held from 1:00 pm and will continue until service time on Saturday at Valley Funeral Home.
