Esta Charlene Tipton Shelton, age 65, of Erwin, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at her home. A native of Erwin, Mrs. Shelton was a daughter of Frank and Wanda Willis Tipton and a member of Sweetwater Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Angie Shelton, in 2004 and sister, Genevieve Rice.Esta Charlene Tipton Shelton has left behind to cherish her memory, Husband: Harmon Shelton, of Erwin; Daughters: Carol Bernice Sanders, and husband Matt, of Unicoi; Pam King, and husband Brian, of Limestone; Sons: Robert Shelton, of Johnson City, Louis Shelton, of Telford Brothers: J.M. Tipton, of Flag Pond; Danny Tipton, of Flag Pond; Sisters: Emily Rice, and husband Harvey, of Flag Pond, Geneva Hensley, and husband Dallas, of Flag Pond; Half Brother: Jimmy Wayne Tilson, of Erwin; Grandchildren: Whitney Jones, Jeremiah Shelton, Austin Shelton, Avery Shelton, Taylor Sanders, Langdon King; Great-Grandchildren: Levi Jones, Ella Jones, Adalyn Jones, Bryson Shelton; Step Daughters: Flora Shelton, and husband Mike, of Erwin; Gaye Church, and husband Winston, of Johnson City; Step Grandchildren: Tamara Wilson, Matthew Shelton, Savannah Church, Dawson Church; Step Great-Granddaughter: Hannah Collins; Several nieces and nephews.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Esta Charlene Tipton Shelton in a funeral service to be held at 7:00 PM Friday, July 1, 2016 in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Reverend Craig Shelton will officiate. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 5:00 PM and continue until service time on Friday at Valley Funeral Home. A committal service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 2, 2016 at B.E. Shelton Cemetery. Those attending will meet at 9:50 AM on Saturday, July 1, 2016 at B.E. Shelton Cemetery.
