Fredia Joyce Tipton

Fredia Joyce (Shelton) Tipton, age 68, of Flag Pond, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at her home. A native of Erwin, Fredia is a daughter of the late Hilden and Betty Shelton. She was a member of Sweetwater Church of God. Fredia enjoyed collecting knick-nacks. She loved her family and grandchildren more than anything. In addition to her parents, Fredia is preceded in death by her son, Stephen Douglas Tipton and two brothers, Vernon Shelton and Ray Shelton. Fredia Joyce (Shelton) Tipton leaves behind to cherish her memory: husband of 50 years: Paul Douglas "Doug" Tipton; Daughter: Alanna Miles; grandchildren: Tiffany Coffey, William "Billy" Tipton, Kelsie Miles, Skyra Carver, Brionna Milsap and Hilden Tipton; great grandchildren: Tomas Coffey, Aden Coffey, Josef Coffey and Kassiani Miles; and sisters: Eva Scott and Hilda Hayes. The family would like to offer special thanks to the nurses and staff of Amedisys Hospice; Reverend Craig Shelton and Sweetwater Church of God for their wonderful care, love and support during this difficult time. The family respectfully requests the honor of your presences and we offer tribute and remember the life of Fredia Joyce (Shelton) Tipton in a funeral service to be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Sweetwater Church of God, 100 Sweetwater Loop, Flag Pond, TN 37657. Reverend Craig Shelton will officiate. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 12:00 pm on Wednesday and will continue until service time at Sweetwater Church of God. A graveside committal service will be held following the funeral on Wednesday, in Tipton Cemetery. Those attending the committal service should meet at Sweetwater Church of God by 2:00 pm to go in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
