Geraldine M. Speirs

Geraldine M. Speirs, age 95, of Jonesborough, TN, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024, at Abundant Christian Living in Johnson City. A native of Many, LA, Geraldine is a daughter of the late Cicero and Claudie (Sibley) Merritt. She was of the Southern Baptist faith. Geraldine was a Sunday School Teacher who enjoyed sewing and cooking. She loved reading her Bible. In addition to her parents, Geraldine is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Leslie Speirs; and brother, Oswell Frank Merritt.Geraldine M. Speirs has left behind to cherish her memory: daughters: Claudia Randolph (Johnny) and Sheryl Wiatt; grandchildren: Sasha Rosen (Chris), Micah Jones (Kimberly), Dana Sperlein, Christy Wiatt, and Bobby Wiatt; and several great grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Geraldine M. Speirs in a memorial service to be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, February 10, 2024 in the in the chapel at Valley Funeral Home. Pastor Craig Zirkle will officiate.
