Hachita Mashburn

Hachita Mashburn, age 90, formerly of 106 Luttrell Street, Erwin, TN, was called home to be with her Lord on October 17, 2005, at the Unicoi Memorial Hospital Long Term Care Unit. She was a native and lifelong resident of Erwin, TN, and daughter of the late Fred and Delores Jones. She was a member of Evergreen Freewill Baptist Church for 75 years, where she taught the Ladies Sunday School class for 57 years and was a member of the choir. She worked at Southern Pottery for 13 years and as a CNA at Erwin Memorial Hospital for 23 years. Mrs. Mashburn leaves behind three children, Roland Mashburn and late wife, Peggy, Gwen Hughes and husband Frank, Ken Mashburn and wife, Brenda; eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. one brother and five sisters Funeral Services for Mrs. Mashburn will be held October 19, 2005, 2:30 p.m. at Evergreen Freewill Baptist Church. Reverend Howard Messer, Reverend Harold Blankenship will be officiating the service and Charles Paul Jones will be providing the eulogy. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m to 2:30 p.m. at Evergreen Freewill Baptist Church. Interment services will follow at Evergreen Cemetery with Steve Rembert and Darrell Edwards officiating. Active pallbearers will be John Hughes, Paul Mashburn, Jason Hughes, Patrick Hughes, Tom Hughes, Will Runion, Jeff Whitson, and Phil Harris.
