Hazel English

Hazel English, age 87, went to be with the lord on Thursday, July 17th, 2014 at her residence. She was native of Unicoi County and a daughter of the late Leroy and Amanda Foster Holcombe. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years David English, who passed away in 1989; her daughter Wilma Stewart; her son Johnny English; several sisters, one brother and one grand daughter Shelly Edwards.Survivors include:Daughter: Margie and husband Doug Shook of Erwin Son: Howard and wife Shirley English of Erwin 8 grandchildren 14 great grandchildren 3 great great grandchildrenThe family requests the honor of your presence as we honor and remember the life of Hazel English in a funeral service to be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 19, 2014 in the chapel of Valley Funeral Home with Reverend Harold Lewis officiating. Vocal selections to be provided by Allen Foster. A graveside committal service will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Serving as Pallbearers will be Elijah Hodge, Nathan Hodge, Brandon Adkins, David Stewart, Monty Burkett, and Kaylee Adkins. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 12:00 noon and will continue until service time on Saturday, July 19th, 2014.Read Obituary
