Paul M. Foster

Paul M. Foster, age 79, of Erwin, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Erwin, Paul is a son of the late Larkin Johnson Foster and Minta Lodusky (Edwards) Foster. He was a member of Riverview Baptist Church and of the Unicoi Masonic Lodge # 681. Paul was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, a Little League Coach and Evans Elementary School Football Coach. He retired from Nuclear Fuel Services after 40 years of service as a Laboratory Technician and he was formerly an EMT with the Erwin Volunteer Rescue Squad. He enjoyed electronics and trout fishing. In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his daughter, Diane Foster Dover; sisters: Macie Foster Poteet and Enza Foster; brothers: Clyde Franklin Foster, Carl Edgar Foster, Guy Leslie Foster, Larkin Johnson Foster, Jr., James Horace Foster, Warren Homer Foster and Kyle Cecil Foster.Paul M. Foster has left behind to cherish his memory: Wife: Brenda G. (Barnett) Foster, of Erwin; Son: Robert Foster and wife, Vicky, of Piney Flats; Daughter: April Edwards and Freddie Miller, of Gray; Grandchildren: Robert Gibson and wife, Jenna, Scott Gibson and fiancé, Shannon Murphy, Bethany Gibson Harris and husband, Issac, Tyler Foster; Great-grandchildren: Kinley Gibson, Kate Gibson; Brother: Harold "Buck" Foster; Sister: Helen Foster Finley; Several nieces and nephews.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Paul M. Foster in a memorial service to be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Riverview Baptist Church. Dr. Alan King will officiate. Masonic services will be rendered by Unicoi Lodge # 681. Military honors will be provided by the Carter County Honor Guard.
