Polly Ann Butler

Polly Ann Butler, age 69, of Erwin, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Franklin Woods Community Hospital. A native of Jonesborough, Polly is a daughter of Mary (Shorter) Smith and the late Emory Smith. She attended Embreeville Cove Missionary Baptist Church. Polly enjoyed doing upholstery work, and working Word Search puzzles. She loved thrift shopping and spending time with her family. In addition to her father, Polly is preceded in death by several sisters, including her twin sister, Dolly Casey, as well as, Bernice Rice, Wanda Foster, Ada Yates, and Nancy McNabb; and one brother, Bobby Smith. Polly Ann Butler has left behind to cherish her memory: son, Steve Butler and wife, Rachel; daughters: Tracy Little and husband, Danny and Amy Austin; grandchildren: Matthew Sparks, Ty Butler, Noah Austin, Faith Little, Drew Butler, Jake Little, and Kip Butler; great-granddaughter, Anna Austin; and sisters: Jewel Hensley, Judie Richardson and Ruby Shell. The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Polly Ann Butler in a graveside committal service to be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 in Bumpus Cove Cemetery. Reverend Brian Brown will officiate. Those who wish to attend the committal service should meet at Bumpus Cove Cemetery by 1:50 pm on Tuesday for the service.
