Revonda Engle

Revonda Engle, age 91, of Erwin, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Erwin Health Care Center. Mrs. Engle is a daughter of the late Joe and Minnie Alice (Tinker) Wardrupe. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Revonda enjoyed trips to the beach with family and trips to Disney World and Dollywood. She was a CNA who did home health care, a homemaker, and a Christian who very much enjoyed life. Revonda also worked at McDonalds. She enjoyed making biscuits and was very proud of the biscuits she made there. In addition to her parents, Revonda is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ike Engle; brother, Howard Wardrupe; sisters: Gladys Runion, Eva Bowman, Viola Wardrupe, Irene Howell, Dolly Allen, Georgia Arrwood, Betty Runion and Pauline McIntosh; and several nieces and nephews. Revonda Engle has left behind to cherish her memory: one brother, Edwards Wardrupe, who resides in South Carolina with his daughter; and her brother-in-law, Carroll Runion. The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Revonda Engle in a funeral service to be held at 1:00 PM, on Friday, January 12, 2024 in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Reverend David Crutchfield will officiate. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 12:00 PM and will continue until service time on Friday. A graveside service will be held following the funeral service, on Friday, in Evergreen Cemetery. Those attending the graveside service should meet at Valley Funeral Home by 1:00 pm on Friday to go in procession to the cemetery.
