Robert Earl Markland

Robert Earl Markland, age 82, of Erwin, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Carter County, Robert is a son of the late Clyde and Jessie (Erwin) Markland. He is a member of Evergreen Freewill Baptist Church, where he was part of the Forever Young Group. He was an avid Blue Devil Football Fan, a member of the Gridiron Club, and a UT fan. He loved his community. In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Katrina Faye (Lingerfelt) Markland and his Mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sam and Viva Lingerfelt.Robert Earl Markland leaves behind to cherish his memory: Daughter: Melissa Gail Markland, of Erwin; Sisters-in-law: Judy Lambert, of Erwin, Dorothy Engle, of Jonesborough; Brother-in-law: David Lingerfelt, of Erwin; Several nieces and nephews.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Robert Earl Markland in a memorial service to be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Evergreen Freewill Baptist Church.
