Thelma Mandy Loyd, age 89, of Erwin, went to Heaven to meet her Lord and Savior and to be reuinited with her precious family on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Thelma is a daughter of the late Frank and Tilda Ingram. She was a resident of Center on Aging and Health for several years. She enjoyed playing BINGO, spending time with family and friends and having church with Reverend Kevin Laws. Thelma was “Prom Queen” in 2018 at the Center. She was a very strong and loving lady. In addition to her parents, Thelma is preceded in death by her husband: Vaughn Loyd; children: Reita Edwards, Vonna Leigh Little, Clifford Loyd, Connie Huskins and Clyde Loyd; sister: Elizabeth Ingram; brother: Clyde Ingram; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Thelma Mandy Loyd leaves behind to cherish her memory: Daughter: Judy Light; Sister: Dorothy Edwards; Grandchildren: Shannon Bradley, Vaughn Richard Little, Sherry Buchanan, AJ Loyd, Amanda Bush; Great-grandchildren: Jessica Casey, Holly Bradley, Cody Bradley, Kayla Perez, Amber O’Stine, Tori Little, Jonathan Buchanan, Fisher Bush, Braiden Smith, Kaylee Smith, Remington Martin; Great-great-grandchildren: Madison Casey, Bradley Casey, Aubrey Casey, Kaylee Tipton, Jonbrenna Buchanan, Amelia Perez, and baby boy O’Stine, coming in 2021. The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Thelma Mandy Loyd in a committal service to be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 22, 2020, in Loyd Cemetery. Rev. Kevin Laws will officiate. Those who wish to attend will meet at Loyd Cemetery by 1:50 PM. Serving as pallbearers will be: Cody Bradley, Alvin Casey, Jared Tipton, Jonathan Buchanan and Jack Wade Dyles. Honorary pallbearer is Phillip Bradley. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we respectfully request that anyone attending services please wear a mask or face covering at all times and observe all social distancing guidelines.
