Gladys Miller

Gladys Hutchins Miller, age 77, of 620 Hwy 107, Limestone Cove Community, Unicoi, died Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Erwin and a daughter of the late Grady and Nellie Kerns Hutchins. She had work as a caregiver assisting the elderly. She was a lifetime member of V.F.W. She was also a member of Ninth Street Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters and by on brother. She leaves behind: Her Husband: Alvin Miller; One Step-Daughter: Judy Briggs and husband Roger, Jonesborough; One Step-Son: Roy Miller and Wife Donna, Unicoi; One Brother: Paul Hutchins and wife Bernice, Erwin; Four Sisters: Laura Brown, Yuma, Arizona, Margaret Patterson, Valley, Nebraska, Martha Simons, Lincoln, Nebraska, Thelma Querry, Unicoi; Three Grandchildren: John Ross Briggs, Joseph Miller, Kimberly Miller; One Great Grandchild: Andie Smith Several Nieces and Nephews. The funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 6, 2006, in the chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Rev. Rob More will officiate. The family will receive friends at Valley Funeral Home on Saturday from noon until service time. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Ninth Street Baptist Church, 310 9th Street, Erwin, TN 37650.
