Janell Bennett

Janell W. Bennett, age 79, of Erwin, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 18, 2015, surrounded by her family. A lifelong resident of Unicoi County, Mrs. Bennett was born on July 27, 1935 to the late Hilyard and Mary Jane Wilson. Janell was a woman of unwavering faith and belief in God. She enjoyed reading her bible and going to church with her sisters. Mrs. Bennett never missed an opportunity to give thanks to her Savior and to share His love with those around her. She took great pride in the accomplishments of her entire family, and loved visits from her nieces, nephews, and their children. She attended the Holiness Church. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Bennett; three brothers, Ward, Paul, and Cecil Wilson; and one sister, Irene Wilson.Janell Bennett has left behind to cherish her memories: Daughter: Julie Masters of Erwin, Grandson: Justin Masters of Erwin, Sisters: Faye Rabb, Adell Miller and Patricia Peterson all of Erwin, Brothers: Garney Wilson of Johnson City, Jack Wilson of Lincolnton, NC.A graveside committal service for Janell W. Bennett will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 in Edwards Cemetery. Reverend Jack Wilson will officiate. Vocal selections will be provided by David Higgins. Those who will attend are asked to meet at Valley Funeral Home on Wednesday by 10:30 AM to go in procession to the cemetery.
