I AM SORRY TO HEAR OF YOUR LOSS. I KNOW HOW DIFFICULT THE NEXT YEAR WILL BE. MS. BETTY YOU ARE IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS. I MISS YOU ALL!
ALL MY LOVE,
EVELYN
My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to Todd's family. He sounds like such an outstanding son. His Mother Betty Lou was my best friend through our school years and though we live apart now, I think of her often. I know how sorrowful she must be and she is in my heart and prayers.
To the family of Todd, I know there are no words that can alleviate your great loss. But I hope someday you can find some consolation in knowing that Todd had the utmost respect of his coworkers here at the NWS. I can't believe that I am not going to run into him in the office or cafeteria everyday anymore - I did not know Todd very well personally, but it was just a couple of days before his untimely death that I observed him taking his daily brisk walk and I thought to myself how much I admired his level of self-discipline. (Not to mention his unbelievable green-thumb at growing vegetables that he would generously share with us.) This tragedy has made me realize how life is too short and to not take any day for granted, and as a tribute to him I am going to try harder to be more self-disciplined and health-conscious, as Todd so wonderfully was. Again, I am very truly sorry for your loss and when you think of him in Heaven maybe you can feel a little better knowing he is with his father again now. Sincerely, Cheryl
Todd was a very dedicated worker. His passing is a great loss for us at the office and huge loss for me. He was my go-to person for any technical advice. He shared his knowledge as well as his little vegetable garden. I will miss him. My deepest sympathy and condolences to Todd?s mom and family.
Todd was a very special man and his passing is a great loss to all of us who worked with him at the National Weather Service. He served our country. He was our co-worker, colleague, friend and a member of the National Weather Service family. Todd was passionate about his work and dedicated himself to his colleagues, friends and the National Weather Service. He always was very helpful to me and willing to share his time and knowledge. He was a man of integrity, and it truly was an honor to have worked with him. I will remember him and miss him. I offer my deepest sympathy and condolences to his mom and his family. Nothing will make the loss of Todd go away, but I pray you will be comforted by the love of his friends, colleagues and all who knew him. His memory will endure in our hearts.
To Ms. Betty and all of the Metcalf Family:
We were deeply saddened to hear about the death of Todd. We can only imagine how difficult this time is for you. Since reading the many posted condolences, it is not difficult to see what a kind and gentle soul Todd was. You all have much to be proud of. His life was a representation of great character, strenght, and dignity. Forever, may his memory stay strong. May you always recall his good qualities while God is mending your hearts.
Our thoughts are with you all. Our prayer is that God will bless you, keep you and make his face to shine upon you during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
The Yancey Family
Mike, Sonya, Alisha, Nicole, and Bryce
I am very sorry for your loss. I only knew Todd from our phone conversations. He was always pleasant and nice to me whenever I spoke with him. Of course I only spoke with him when I needed help with a problem. I could tell , just from our brief conversations, he was a caring and hard working person and willing to help with a problem, no matter how small. I'm very sad he is gone. I am a veteran of the Air Force and appreciate his devotion and dedication to our Country and service to the people through his work with the National Weather Service. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
I will truly miss Todd as a worker and as a friend. He was a very conscientious and dedicated employee. The web farm was his baby and he kept it going at all times, no matter what the Weather. He even drove in during a blizzard to make sure that the web farm was up and running. On weekends, he would be checking frequently on his own time to ensure the web farm was operational.
Although Todd was a private person, we shared many conversations concerning his house, his garden, his cats, etc. Todd grew the most delicious zucchini. He would bring to the office his home grown vegetables to share with us. Truly remarkable was that he not only gave us lettuce, but washed it before bringing it in.
I am truly sorry that I never had more conversations with Todd concerning his family. During this trying time, I was able to speak to his mother and brothers and found you all so very kind and heart-warming.
I know how hard it is to lose a loved one so please accept my heartfelt sympathies. I wish there was something I can do to erase your pain and suffering.
And remember if there is anything I can do to help please do not hesitate to call or write me.
Take care
Fortune
