John Dunbar,

John Christopher Dunbar, Sr. age 48, of 501 Tweetie Hill Road, Erwin, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2007, at his residence. Born in Erwin, he was the son of the late Jacob Russ Dunbar, Jr. and Carolyn Tucker Peoples. He served his country in the Navy for two years and then worked as a brick mason. John worked mainly with the U.S. Post Office where he was a express mail carrier. John leaves behind His daughter, Amanda Barnett and her husband, Greg, Johnson City; His son, Christopher Dunbar, Elizabethton; His two brothers, Jacob Dunbar and his wife, Deborah, Downingtown, PA, Tom Dunbar and his wife, Kathy, Chattanooga; His three nieces, Rebecca Moffett, Sara Dunbar, and Alexandra Dunbar and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Military Graveside services will be held Monday, February 12, 2007, at Two O'clock at Evergreen Cemetery. All those planning on attending the service are asked to meet at the cemetery by One-Fifty Monday afternoon.
