Martha Lee Parker, 82, 702 Hill Ave., Erwin died Wednesday, January 31, 2007, at the Unicoi County Memorial Hopspital. She was a native and life long resident of Erwin and a daughter of the late Roy Lee and Maude Parlier Morris. She was a graduate of Unicoi County High School with the class of 1942 where she was First Chair Clarinetist in the Tennessee All State Band her Senior Year. She taught students how to play the Clarinet in the coming years. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church where she was active in the music department as a soloist and a member of the church choir. She leaves behind: Husband: Wesley H. Parker One son: Ronald J. Parker and wife, Pamela, Virginia Beach, VA. One Sister: Betty Jean Dickson, Kingsport Two Grandchildren: R. Scott Parker and Megan Lee Parker, Denver, CO. Four Nephews: Jack Dickson, Kim Dickson, Gary Dickson, David Dickson and their wives and Children. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, February 3, 2007, at Centenary United Methodist Church. Rev. Lloyd Jones will officiate. Music will be under the direction of Dr. Catherine Edwards. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at Centenary United Methodist Church from 12:30 until service time on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to Centenary United Methodist Church, 203 N. Elm Ave., Erwin, TN. 37650.
