Patsy Brotherton Wilson

Patsy Ruth Brotherton Wilson, age 56. of Unicoi, TN, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at her residence, on Monday, April 7, 2008. Born in Unicoi County, TN, she was the daughter of the Motelle Banner of Erwin and the late Homer Brotherton. Patsy worked as a seamstress at Red Kap and was a member of Union Memorial Church in Limestone Cove. Besides her father, she is preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Brotherton and a nephew, Baby James Brotherton. Besides her mother, Patsy is survived by her husband of 38 years, Herbert Michael (Mike) Wilson; daughter, Kim Wilson, Erwin, TN; brother and sister, David Brotherton, Erwin, Rosie Allen and husband, Robert, Erwin; special nieces, Jessie and Samantha Allen, both of Erwin; brother and sister-in-laws, Suzie Ledford, Lonnie Wilson and wife, Mary, Dennis Hatcher and wife Shelia, Danielle Brotherton, and Debbie Story and husband, Mike, all of Erwin; a special friend, Doug Price, Erwin, several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at Eight O?clock in the chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Reverend Scotty Whitson and Reverend Lonnie Wilson will be officiating the service. Bobby Whitson and the Unaka Springs Freewill Baptist Church Singers will be in charge of the music. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service. Graveside services will be held Thursday morning at Eleven O?clock in Evergreen Cemetery. All those planning on attending the graveside services are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 Thursday morning. Active pallbearers will be David Brotherton, Robert Allen, Doug Price, David Bowman, Justin Brummitt, Eric Brummitt, Mark Howell, and James Ledford. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Bowman, Kyle Graham, Regan Tilson and S.G. Griffith. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to The Gideon?s International, P.O.
