Violet Casey Shehan

Violet (Bobbie) Casey Shehan, age 83, formerly of the Telford Community, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at the Hillcrest North Healthcare Center in Knoxville. Born in Washington County, she is the daughter of the late John and Lillie Mae Stanton Casey. Violet was a homemaker and a past member of the New Victory Baptist Church. She adored her family and grandchildren and was an excellent country cook. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her 2 brothers and 3 sisters and her husband James Daniel Shehan who passed away in April, 1989. Violet leaves behind her daughters, Gracie Bishop and husband, Grant, Knoxville, Melody Mutschler and husband, Keith, Parker, CO; son, James Daniel Shehan, Jr, and wife, Elyn Lewis, Hillsborough, OR; seven grandchildren, David Bishop and wife, Tamela, Wendy Kingsley and husband, Eric, Tiffany Shrader and husband, Major Stephen, Alex Green, Jacob and wife, Jolene Green, Jeb Shehan, and Courtney Shehan; and seven great grandson. Funeral services will be held at two o'clock on Saturday, May 6, 2006, in the chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Reverend Grant G. Bishop will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Graveside services will follow at Evergreen Cemetery with the grandchildren serving as pallbearers.
