She is a native of Unicoi County and the daughter of the late Robert Wallace and Esta Fender Rice. Mrs. Silvers was retired from C& E Refractories after 19 years of service. She was a member of the Upper Rice Creek Baptist Church.  Virginia leaves behind: Husband: Ellis Silvers of Flag Pond; Sons: Jamie Lynn Silvers and wife, Kristie of Flag Pond, Edward Harold Silvers and wife, Julie Renee’ of Flag Pond, Nathan Allan Silvers and wife, Nancy of Flag Pond; Sisters: Loretta Rice of Flag Pond, Rosella Cantrell of Flag Pond, Nellie Briggs of Flag Pond; Grandchildren: Ashton Gage Silvers, Miranda Silvers, Whitney Danielle Silvers, Kayson Bayer, Chris Hensley.   Memorial services will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Reverend Craig Shelton will be officiating. Musical selections will be under the direction of Ronnie Shelton. Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday from 5:00 PM until service time at Valley Funeral Home.
