Bobby Doyle Shelton

Bobby "Doyle" Shelton, age 82, of Erwin, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Christian Care Center of Unicoi County. Doyle is a native of Greeneville, TN and a son of the late Kenneth Jipper "Jip" and Ruth (Riddle) Shelton. He was a member of Sweetwater Church of God and enjoyed fishing, hunting and NASCAR. He especially loved coon hunting. Doyle was employed by the Town of Erwin Street Department. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Francis Ann (Thomas) Shelton; daughters: Mary Virginia Moore and Betty Lou Clouse; brothers: Kenneth, Lawrence and Brown; sisters: Trish, Louise, Clarence and Blanche; grandson: Bobby Charles Moore.Bobby "Doyle" Shelton has left behind to cherish his memory: Sons: Danny Shelton and wife, Ginger, Ronald Shelton and wife, Kim; Daughters: Janice Banner, Michelle Lovette; Brothers: Glenn Shelton, Dallas Shelton, Ronnie Shelton; Sisters: Glenna Crum, Connie Hensley; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Bobby "Doyle" Shelton in a funeral service to be held at 7:00 pm on Saturday, November 30, 2019 in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Reverend Craig Shelton will officiate. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 5:00 pm and continue until service time on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Valley Funeral Home. A committal service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 1, 2019 in Claude Hensley Cemetery. Those who wish to attend will meet at Claude Hensley Cemetery by 1:50 pm on Sunday.
