Mamie G. Boone

Mamie G. Boone, age 90, of Erwin, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at the Center on Aging and Health. A native of Bakersville, NC, Mamie is a daughter of the late William R. and Sarah (Street) Garland. She and her husband, Jimmie F. Boone, owned and operated Boone Cleaners for 30 years and had Boone's Farm in Limestone Cove for 25 years. She was a member of Ninth Street Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and spouse, Mamie is preceded in death by five brothers: Nathan, Zebbeddee, Fred, Floyd and Joe Garland; three sisters: Ethel Edwards, Blanche Cline and Pansy Garland.Mamie G.
