Pamela "Joanie" (McKinney) Wiseman

Pamela "Joanie" McKinney Wiseman, age 58, of Erwin, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020, at Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Erwin, Joanie is a daughter of Patricia Faye (Higgins) McKinney and the late Clarence Hayden McKinney. She was of the Baptist faith and was a Social Worker, involved in Juvenile Case Management. Joanie was a faithful animal advocate and enjoyed flower gardening, but her most loved activity was taking care of her daughter, mother and grandchildren. In addition to her father, Joanie is preceded in death by her grandparents: Bell (Hughes) McKinney, Hayden McKinney, Ollie Hensley Higgins and Mark Higgins. In addition to her mother, Pamela "Joanie" McKinney Wiseman leaves behind to cherish her memory: Daughter: Jade Hodge and husband, Earl; Brothers: Steven McKinney, Larry McKinney; Sister: Dezaray McKinney; Grandchildren: Alexis McNally, Ashlyn McNally, Kinley Hodge, Greyson Hodge, Laykin Hodge; Niece: Rylan Smith; Very special friend: Dewayne Bennett; Several aunts, uncles and cousins.The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff and nurses of the Intensive Care Unit on the 2nd floor at Johnson City Medical Center.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Pamela "Joanie" McKinney Wiseman in a funeral service to be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 30, 2020 in the chapel at Valley Funeral Home. Reverend Aaron McClain will officiate. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 5:00 pm on Thursday, January 30, 2020 and will continue until service time in the chapel at Valley Funeral Home. A graveside committal service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 31, 2020 in Evergreen Cemetery. Reverend Bernie Jones will officiate. Those attending should meet at Valley Funeral Home by 12:30 pm on Friday, January 31, 2020 to go in procession to the service.
