Ruby Arlene Mounts, age 93, of Erwin, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2020 at Unicoi County Hospital. A native of Erwin, Ruby is a daughter of the late Parmer and Savannah (Engle) Tinker. She was a member of Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Bluff City. In addition to her parents, Ruby is preceded in death by her first husband of 3 years, Carlie Lloyd; second husband of 15 years, Clarence McCurry; third husband of 6 years, John Mounts; daughter, Barbara Jean Nickles; brothers, Oliver Tinker, Cecil Tinker, Lawrence Tinker and Thomas Tinker; and sister, Frances McClaren.Ruby Arlene Mounts leaves behind to cherish her memory: Sons: Carlie Lloyd and wife, Margaret, Harley Lloyd and wife, Barbara; Sister: Joyce Edwards; Brother: J.F. Tinker; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Ruby Arlene Mounts in an outdoor funeral service to be held at 10:00 am on Friday, April 24, 2020 under the portico in front of Valley Funeral Home. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 9:00 am on Friday, April 24, 2020 and continue until service time, under the portico in front of Valley Funeral Home. A committal service will follow in Tinker Cemetery, Mill Creek. Reverend Delbert Storie will officiate. Ronnie and I give our deepest Condolences to the whole family for this loss of this precious soul. She's been a inspiration to all of us who had the privilege to know her. She will truly be missed, and much loved by all her church family. But knowing she will be waiting to see us all again at the feet of God will be a sweet moment.
